And why should I eat enough protein, you ask.


Well firstly, proteins are the building blocks of muscle, and most bodily tissues for that fact.


Therefore, more protein must equal more muscle, right?


Well yes, sort of anyway, increased protein consumption increases muscle protein synthesis.


Infact, there are a lot of benefits with increased protein consumption.


Protein consumption contributes to growth & development, metabolism, body composition, RNA/DNA synthesis and many other processes within the body.


Overall, according to my analysis of many sources and studies, we have come to the conclusion that 1.6 grams per kilogram of body weight is an optimal amount of protein. (Source)

Number Two Tip: Train For Your Desired Goal

As I said in that article, it means you should adapt and change your training based on your desired goal.


We have much more information in that article, but basically, if you want to train for hypertrophy you must train like a bodybuilder.


If you want to train for strength, you must train like a strongman or power lifter.


And, if you want to train for endurance, you must train like an endurance athlete.


Each of these styles of training have their own specific and unique properties, such as rep ranges, eccentric and time under tension, resistance techniques, rest time and many other variables.

An example of an intensity method would be using barbell chains while bench pressing, or using resistance bands in conjunction with exercises.


Resistance techniques are mostly used to change the dynamics of a rep.


This means that at the top of the rep the weight is lesser, at the middle it is heaviest and at the bottom is again lesser.


A resistance band for example will increase the weight (resistance) the higher you go in a rep, changing the dynamics of a rep.
