Calf-Machine Shrug Exercise:
This is a unique exercise for the traps as it utilises a machine which is not intended for this use, but it creates a very effective exercise for the traps, called a calf-machine shrug.
Similarly to other #traps exercises, this will improve their overall strength and size, but this unique exercise will require a calf-raise machine.

Calf-Machine Shrug Exercise Instructions:
Target Muscle: Trapezius (Traps)
Exercise Type: Strength
Follow these instructions below for an effective and unique trap exercise, you will need access to a calf-raise machine though.
Position yourself on the calf-raise machine so that the pads are on your shoulders. Your body should be straight up with your arms by your side. This is your starting position.
Raise your shoulders up towards your ears as you exhale, like all other shrugs, and hold the contraction for 1-2 Seconds.
Slowly return to the starting position as you inhale.
Repeat for the desired amount of repetitions.
Additional Variations: This exercise can also be performed using dumbbells, barbells, cables and many other variations of this exercise exist. However, this has its own page due to its uniqueness.
